Animated New Tab Privacy Policy

Applies to Pokémon Worlds — Animated New Tab, version 1.2.1, its earlier Jirachi — A Little Wish version, and the separately packaged Pokémon animated new-tab companions with the same data-handling behavior. Updated September 27, 2026.

Information you choose to enter

The extension stores your optional display name, saved note or wish, shortcut names and URLs, selected Pokémon and scenery, sound and motion preferences, and clock settings in local browser storage. This information is used to personalize your new-tab page and is not sent to the developer. Notes are free-form; avoid entering passwords or other sensitive information.

Searches and websites

When you submit a search, the extension uses Chrome’s search API to send the query to your configured search provider. In a normal web-page preview without that API, the form navigates to Google Search. Opening a shortcut navigates to the website you selected. These destinations receive the usual web request information, such as your IP address, and apply their own privacy policies. The extension does not log search queries or read your browsing history.

Permissions and bundled content

The search permission supports searches you submit from the new-tab page. The extension does not request access to your browser history, other tabs, account credentials, location, or page contents. JavaScript, artwork, and audio are bundled in the extension. It does not download or execute remote code.

Sharing and limited use

The extension includes no analytics, advertising, tracking services, or developer-operated data collection endpoints. User data is not sold. Data is not used for unrelated purposes, advertising, creditworthiness, or lending. Transfers are limited to user-requested searches and navigation. The extension’s use of information complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.

Retention and deletion

Preferences and notes remain in this browser until you change or remove them, clear the extension’s local storage, or remove the extension and its associated data. You can edit your name and shortcuts in Make it yours, and erase your note directly on the new-tab page. Data is not encrypted by the extension or synchronized by it to a developer account. Local access depends on your device and browser security.

Policy page hosting

This policy page is hosted separately through OpenAI Sites. Visiting this page involves ordinary requests to the hosting service and may be subject to its own privacy practices. This page adds no analytics scripts, forms, or tracking cookies.

Use the publisher contact details displayed on the Chrome Web Store listing to contact ChubbyDragonite. Updates to data-handling behavior will be reflected in this policy and the corresponding store disclosures.
